Gothic attire started first with music. Gothic, or death, rock was a spin off of punk during the 1980s. After awhile the style of music faded away, but there were still bands calling themselves Goth and the name and style stuck.
Goths tend to dress based on old horror movies. They have pale faces and dark hair and features. Gothic clothing is dark and usually romantic with skirts and ruffles relatively common. Goths tend to wear dark lipstick and eyeliner, and are usually pretty somber. Of course, they aren't mellow all the time. Goths enjoy their friends and a good joke despite their somewhat scary appearance. |
